Young's Survivor Season Opinions
Survivor S11: Kyushu
Survivor returned with a bang, and it was the season of Unfinished Business.
This season set out to be what Japan should have been: A great season with twenty-four competitors.
Also 1-Upping Japan, this season had a major change in challenges, as they were all hand-built, and were very original.
It also featured many tribe swaps, and an interesting reward twist: Three winners who all got different prizes.
Players got to fight for the chance for either a Luxury to benefit their own game, a Punishment to destroy others' games, or a Tribe reward to benefit their entire tribe. This got a major insight into what contestants felt were more important.
There was also a change in the Idol rules, in that they expired after the Final Seven tribal council, rather than the fifth.
This was mainly to prevent someone from using idols or advantages to carry them to the Final Four, where they'd only need to win one challenge to get to the Finale. Trust me, it's lame when stuff like that happens... *looks at AS7*. Anyways, the cast this season also didn't disappoint: Right off the bat, you had big players like BostonRobMariano, MikeTheMagnific, Timewarpagain, and AIexWillett (actually Cazology) calling the shots for their tribes. As the cast dwindled and swaps continued, it became a game of the Yoshi alliance, versus Rob and his sheep, versus the Azumi alliance. Following a fateful Immunity Challenge, AIexWillett accidentally turned the Yoshi alliance against her and the Azumi group, which led to their demise, as they were picked off one-by-one during the final tribe swap and merge. Afterwards, it was Time, XxshortcrusherxX, and IIMoonIightII against Rob, Xbronaut, and Mike. Despite their best efforts, the Yoshi alliance failed after Timewarpagain's cowardice cost them a major number in OmqThomas, and thanks to Rob and Mike's several Immunity Idols and advantages, they were able to strategically eliminate the Moon, Time, and Short, leaving the trio against only xIsaiahEzequiel and Okscreamingjose, the season's inactive players. Jose didn't put up much of a fight, and got out immediately afterwards, while Isaiah fought hard, and even convinced Mike to flip to try and get out Rob, though the plan failed as Isaiah stood no chance against Rob in the tiebreaker challenge. The jury chastised Mike and Xbro for following Rob's orders all season, though gave Mike some praise for his final attempt to get out Rob. Regardless, Rob's immense domination of the season awarded him the win 6-3-1... until Mike quit, after he felt disrespected by the Host (me). Regardless, Xbro's sheep-image and refusal to rally for votes caused him to only receive stray bitter votes, and Rob was given his title 7-2. It's not often you see the very best player of the season win, but that's what happened, and it was amazing. The season only suffers from it's predictability, as Rob was unrivaled during most of the season and very few people took shots at him. Those who did went out the next tribal.
Season Ranking: 3/13.

Winner: BostonRobMariano, 7-2If there was ever a mirror image of the real life Rob Mariano, this is it. He completely dominated the season from the very beginning, and brought his core alliance right to the end. Playing a loyal-aggressive game, he constantly won Reward challenges, and found many of the season's Immunity Idols himself. From the beginning, he formed an alliance with Xbronaut, MikeTheMagnific, Jakethemaster27, Minty711, MaliciousDream, TurtIy, KettleTheStick, and BwinterT. After being placed on the Kurume tribe, he quickly targeted TheGatz, as he viewed him as a worthy rival who tried to control the tribe. Using his advantages, he managed to blindside Gatz, and maintained control over his tribe. As the season went on, MaliciousDream attempted to backstab him, and Minty711 tried to throw him under the bus, and both were blindsided as a result. Having lost many of his initial allies, he tried to turn the Yoshi alliance against AIexWillett and her Azumi crew, seeing them as a huge threat coming into the merge. His plan worked, and he was able to carry his alliance to the merge. After stealing Fungameshow555's vote, he thwarted another backstab plan by Mike, causing his ally to give up and allow Rob to steamroll the season. After a plan to go to Rocks failed to get out Xbro or Mike, he managed to use his luxuries to take out IIMoonIightII and Timewarpagain, giving him complete control of the season. He easily coasted to the Final Four, but Mike attempted to blindside him, bringing the vote to a tiebreaker. Being the greatest physical threat in the game, he easily destroyed xIsaiahEzequiel, and made the finale, where his loyal-aggressive gameplay earned himself a landslide victory over his cowardly sheeps. One of the greatest gameplays ever, and the single best player of the season. Funny thing is, he wasn't even supposed to be cast. ggnore.

Runner-Up: Xbronaut, 2-7Xbronaut didn't really do much in his time on the season, which says a lot considering he made it to the Finale. Early on, he joined an alliance with BostonRobMariano, and he stayed 100% loyal to him, ultimately becoming his puppet. Despite having many opportunities to flip and take control, he stayed by Rob's side, and together they took out many threats to Rob's game. Note that I say Rob's game, and not Xbro's game. Having easily coasted to the merge, his allies were able to keep him safe as he was occasionally targeted to take out one of Rob's numbers. Thanks to Rob, he was dragged to the Finale, though failed to accumulate enough jury votes, and never attempted to earn any. Although in his defense, he was constantly left in the dirt and very few people attempted to work with Xbro aside from Rob and MikeTheMagnific, he never latched onto an opportunity to take control, and thus was shunned by the Jury, though he received a few votes from bitter jurors. A prime example of a sheep. Waste of a spot.

2nd Runner-Up: MikeTheMagnific, QuitMikeTheMagnific was the only returning winner this season, and aimed to be the first two-time winner. Early on he joined an alliance with BostonRobMariano and Xbronaut, though he intended to ditch Rob as soon as the merge hit. In the very first tribal, Fungameshow555 and Fayez78941 attempted to get him out for being a long-time veteran, though the plan failed as he had a huge pre-made alliance on his tribe. Although Fun seemed set to leave next, Aokwihd made a horrible move, and PM'ed most of his tribe to target TurtIy, Mike, and KettleTheStick. The result? He left unanimously. #shocker. Sure enough, Mike easily coasted to the merge with his alliance, where he attempted to rally up the numbers to blindside Rob. However, after Rob used his advantage to take out Fun, he chickened out, and instead voted for Thomas, causing Fun to leave, and Rob to stay. Afterwards, Mike grew cowardly, and devoted the rest of his game to letting Rob finally win. Many of the cast, both in and out of the game, chastised him for being a complete sheep, though he stayed strong with his allies, and took them to the Final Four, at which point he decided to take a last stand and take out Rob, though he was only able to bring it to a tiebreaker challenge, which Rob easily won. Though he attempted to rally for votes, he admitted he didn't deserve it, but after feeling disrespected by the Host, he quit, abandoning any chances he had at winning the season. Had potential early on, but gave up and let Rob win, and then quit because he couldn't handle someone's opinions. Prime example of throwing your game away for somebody else. What a coward.
