Young's Survivor Season Opinions
Survivor S5: Bermuda - All-Starz 6
That moment when you have a great season planned with a great twist and a great cast... then realize the cast wasn't all that great to begin with. So All-Starz 6 featured 19 players from South Africa, Malaysia, and Easter Island, and had a fun Exile Island twist, where the player sent would receive Immunity for the week, but couldn't attend Tribal Council. Initially players couldn't send themselves, but then I got bored and wanted to add Immunity Idols, so I let players that sent themselves receive an Immunity Idol. The problem is it pretty became a safety competition and players often sent themselves or their close allies for easy Immunity. During the tribes phase, though, it became a way for players to keep targets on the other tribe safe, in the hopes they'd end up voting an ally instead. This season also had a Day Zero twist, where everyone would immediately vote out one player, with the player voted out ending up picking the tribes, and then heading to Exile Island. However, this ended up creating what would later be the Sheoak Alliance, a premade formed in an attempt to control the early votes and keep the entire group safe. Timewarpagain was voted out, and he made one of the worst moves ever... after I revealed who voted who, he decided to place the ENTIRE alliance onto the Sheoak Tribe, as well as a few inactives he didn't care for, and then put all of his friends on one tribe, which he later joined. The problem? Sheoak managed to simply vote out the outsiders and then survive to the Tribe Swap, where they were then able to have majority on BOTH tribes. At that point they just had to vote out any potential threats on either tribe, and get to the merge. Once the tribes merged, Time and his final Khyber ally XxshortcrusherxX were bumped back to back, followed by Bloosonic123, who had flipped to the Sheoak Alliance in favour of taking out Maddysduck. From then on it was the Sheoak Alliance versus Pengyyy, but because she was so inactive at this point, people rarely took shots at her, and instead took out threats in their own alliance, starting with MarPoi who was viewed by Khyber as the leader of the group. Afterwards, B34STS and MikeTheMagnific were taken out back-to-back for being tough allies, before Pengyyy was finally voted out. After a last-minute Jury vote forced a tiebreaker, Ravenclaw778 awarded the win to Luissmakingrobot2000, robbing TrucuIentus of what should've been his season to win. Sometimes a jury rewards gameplay, but this season the jury rewarded social relationships. Season ranking: 11/13.
Winner: Luissmakingrobot2000, 4-3-2Luissmakingrobot2000 was actually not supposed to be cast, but I added him as a 19th player for the Day Zero twist to work. I really regret picking him over Neth110, and that says a lot. He quickly joined the Sheoak Alliance and coasted with them to the merge, where he went wherever he was wanted in order to survive in the game. In other words, he was a flipper and didn't care who left, as long as it wasn't him. After making the Finale, despite a lot of Jurors disrespecting his game, a split caused him and TrucuIentus to tie for the win, leaving the final decision up to Ravenclaw778, who awarded the win to Luis. Gameplay wise, he didn't deserve it, but his social game got him the win.

Runner-Up: TrucuIentus, 3-4-2TrucuIentus, originally known as Grxm, came into the season with the Sheoak Alliance, and worked with them to control the season. After getting to the Final 8 with them, he worked with Luissmakingrobot2000 to take out B34STS, and Ravenclaw778 to take out MikeTheMagnific, after the two took out MarPoi. After Cato2000 was removed for too many strikes, Luis and Raven had no choice but to vote Pengyyy, as too many Jurors simply liked her, forcing them to regretfully take TrucuIentus to the end, where Jurors respected his gameplay more for him actually making moves and taking credit for them. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to woo Pengyyy or XxshortcrusherxX, causing the vote to split, and his poor relationship with Ravenclaw778 cost him the tiebreaker.
Deserved it for his gameplay, but his poor social game cost him the win. |
Second Runner-Up: Ravenclaw778, 2-4-3Ravenclaw778 got a pretty bad rep this season. People viewed him as a floater, although he had been grouped with the Sheoak Alliance most of the game. Because of his floater image, he managed to coast to the Finale without any votes cast against him. Although he worked with TrucuIentus to take out MikeTheMagnific, the biggest threat remaining, all the credit went to TrucuIentus. His lack of moves to his name and poor image caused him to lose at third place. On the bright side, he got the last laugh as he cast the sole vote to determine the winner, thanks to a tie vote. Overall coaster, but did make strong moves, that were sadly ignored.
