Young's Survivor Season Opinions
Survivor S9: All-Starz 7 - Greek Isles
Yay, an All-Starz season featuring the best players from the past five horrible seasons! What could possibly go wrong?
Well actually gameplay this season was a huge improvement from the previous seasons, though there were a couple sheep and floaters who got cast, but fortunately most of the messy players were taken care of pre-merge. This season featured probably the best twist in the history of ROBLOX Survivors: Luxury Island! Each week, players competed for the right to go on Luxury Island, where they would search for advantages that could benefit their game, such as Immunity Idols, Extra Votes, and other crazy powers. One person per tribe would attend, with the winning tribe determining who would go, and that person would choose one person from the other tribes to join them, and they'd have a set time limit to search for luxuries, only being allowed to claim one per visit. Players utilized the twist perfectly and it made the season very dynamic and enjoyable. Tribes this season were divided by myself, in a way to keep any premades or friends from controlling a single tribe, but due to the Omorfia tribe losing every single challenge, the contestants got to repick the tribes early on. A twist from Survivor: All-Stars was also featured where a losing tribe in a reward challenge would be dissolved into the opposing tribes, though mostly everyone threw the challenge as a result. This was also the first season to feature the Death Vote, where if a vote was deadlocked, every vote cast for that tribal would be randomized, and the vote selected would determine who left, even if they only had one vote cast against them, though that situation never happened. Although it made the decision a bit fairer, it removed the risk of Purple Rock, making ties much more common, eventually making the season more predictable. With all the twists, it eventually became two large factions battling for control: the MSA alliance of BostonRobMariano, ClassicCrusher7, Brandonthestick, Evanester, and associates MikeTheMagnific and Yellow5995, against the BRSG Veterans Alliance of Timewarpagain, Ravenclaw778, Bloosonic123, Curtis_Granderson, and associates Eminemxxx, Losingdogs, Coolpokemonfan2001, and Tonytonychopper64. Despite the Veterans having the majority, Time constantly sabotaged his alliance, backstabbing several of his allies, allowing the MSA to take control and vote them out back-to-back. During the late merge, Mike and Yellow flipped to take out big threats, until only two players remained from each side, and Time was eliminated after a dramatic death vote. After an extremely close Finale vote, we were left with a deadlocked vote, where the third place contestant had to decide the winner. Overall a dynamic season filled with drama, and became a game of which side will win from the start to the bitter end. Ended on a great winner, although many people don't agree with that opinion. Great season. Season ranking: 4/13.

Winner: Brandonthestick, 6-5Brandonthestick returned after his early exit from Japan, and quickly became a part of the MSA Alliance. Despite being placed on the Enkefalos tribe, where many of his tribemates disliked him, he survived only on account of his tribe winning every Immunity, albeit he sabotaged his tribe in many challenges, much to the annoyance of Ravenclaw778. Despite nearly being voted out several times pre-merge, he was spared after his ally ClassicCrusher7 found the rehidden Enkefalos Idol and gave it to him, causing Curtis_Granderson to be eliminated instead. Once the merge hit, he nearly got out again, but BostonRobMariano saved him with the Omorfia Idol, causing Losingdogs to get out instead thanks to Timewarpagain flipping to keep MikeTheMagnific. He was able to coast by with his alliance for a while afterwards now that they had majority, until Mike and Yellow5995 flipped to take out Classic and Rob, leaving him alone in the game without any solid allies. Regardless, Mike saved him in the next vote with the Dynami Idol, causing Tonytonychopper64 to leave instead. After winning the next Immunity, he nearly got out due to a Death Vote, but stayed thanks to Mike and luck. At the finale, he fought hard for Jury votes, while his opponents were more lax and uncaring, convincing several to flip and vote for him. Despite never working with Eminemxxx, he impressed him enough to get the win after an incredibly close 6-5 Jury vote.
Won the most challenges in the season, had an Idol from each of the original tribes played for him, had the protection of a large alliance and fought to the very end. Deserving winner, and shows you don't give up even if you run out of allies. |
Runner-Up: MikeTheMagnific, 5-6MikeTheMagnific joined after strong gameplay in AS6, though didn't show that this season or really ever again. In this season, he initially allied with the Veterans crew, but after he was caught cheating and peeking into Luxury Island, they outcasted him, and he flipped to the MSA Alliance, though he wasn't very welcome there either. Regardless, he coasted by to the merge, only having to go to a single Tribal Council, where he received no votes. After reaching the merge, distrust caused ClassicCrusher7 to backstab Mike and try to vote him off after a double Idol Play, though Timewarpagain flipped to keep him instead, hoping he'd be more loyal than Losingdogs. After participating in taking out Ravenclaw778, he found both TWO rehidden Immunity Idols in a row, giving him the ultimate safety in the game. In addition, he found many luxuries, including the Black Luxury, which gave him sole vote at any Tribal Council before the F4. This guaranteed him three consecutive weeks of power, though very few attempted to call his weekly bluffs. Once he helped get out Bloosonic123, he backstabbed Classic, and then used his Black Vote to get out BostonRobMariano, though it wasn't needed. Afterwards he and Time blindsided Tonytonychopper64 and then took out Yellow5995 as the biggest threat remaining. With four players, he ran out of luxuries, but won the Final Immunity, bringing ally Brandonthestick with him to the end. Despite being safe nearly the entire game and playing a solid game in the majority all season, he gave an uncaring attitude to the Jury and didn't bother fighting for any votes, compelling Jurors to vote for Brandon instead. Despite previously working with Eminemxxx, he felt Brandon deserved it more, causing Mike to lose at second place. Had a solid game, but just didn't fight for the win.

Second Runner-Up: Eminemxxx, 2-4-4Eminemxxx wasn't originally supposed to be in the season, but helped out at early sessions and eventually replaced DrElements before the first tribe shuffle. Once in the game, he was quickly adopted into the Veterans Alliance and coasted with them to the merge. He only went to tribal once, where he screwed up and voted the wrong person, causing Coolpokemonfan2001 to be eliminated instead. Despite voting according to plan in the merge tribals, ally Timewarpagain constantly flipped votes, causing the wrong people to leave, putting Eminem in a minority position, until MikeTheMagnific and Yellow5995 flipped to take out ClassicCrusher7 and BostonRobMariano. Afterwards, Time yet again flipped, causing Tonytonychopper64 to leave instead. After joining in voting out Yellow, he was considered the least likely to win and was dragged to the Finale, where Jurors considered him a sheep, and so no reason to vote him except for likability and loyalty, and as such only received two votes from Rob and Time, and took third place. After a deadlocked vote, he gave Brandonthestick the win for fighting harder for the win, causing later resentment from Mike. Poor pre-merge performance, but made smart moves in the post-merge that failed due to Time backing out half the time, and just couldn't convince people he was an individual player.
